We made it to Vegas on Thursday and started our search for cheap Donny & Marie tickets. We couldn't find any after a day of shopping around all of the casino stores. So we tried to buy regular tickets and they were sold out. Can you believe it!!! So we bought tickets for Friday night. It was a good thing after all because we got great seats down in front on the balcony. We could see everything. First we took a few photo and ordered a drink. A $6.00 coke!!!! What a rip off. I really had to enjoy that one. Then the show started. It was a lot like the old Donny & Marie TV show. A lot of variety of song and dance, and of course Donny and Marie always trying to one up the other. They sang pop, rock, country, Broadway and Marie sang her new found love opera. Not bad ether. We had a great time and would recommend it too.

December and Mom's wish
Well here it is December already. Where has the year gone. Thanksgiving has pasted and Christmas is just around the corner. One of Jamie's dreams is about to come true. We are flying to Las Vegas and going to see if we can get tickets to see DONNY!!! If you know Jamie she has always had a crush on DONNY. Every November the DONNY Christmas CD comes out of hiding and is played as much as possible. So this year I broke down and decided to take her to Vegas and see the Donny and Marie show at the Flamingo. This should be fun. We are meeting both of our parents there and seeing the sights together and we are going to the show while they go to the National Finals Rodeo. I will post pictures when we get back.

Big Horn Sheep Hunt 2008
I had a great time this past weekend with Brent Buhler and a few of his friends hunting Big Horned Sheep is Green River, UT. The weather was perfect and we saw over a 100 different sheep. It was hard trying to find just the right one, but we did on Friday. Just watch the slide show below and get taste of what we saw. If we get a chance I am going to take the family on a camping trip down there just to watch the rams fight. There is nothing that can describe the sight of two big rams fighting on a cliff edge 200 ft above the river.

Summer's Pet
Sometimes Things Just Don't Go Your Way!!
Let me tell a story about our last hunt. We were up before dawn, excited to hunt our favorite spot that has always held the big bucks. Hiking up in the dark we could only imagine what this day would hold. But to our disappointment we saw nothing. Hiking some more, still nothing. Moved to a new area and hiked some more. You guessed it , NOTHING!! So we drove home only to pass this herd in a pasture right in the middle of Layton. I think I'll see if I can sneak into this field tomorrow.

Halloween 2008
Here are a few photos of all the fun we had on halloween. Taylor was a gangster and summer went as Hawaiian Punch. We all went to the Layton play off game ( we won 24 -7)then to G'ma Lany's for chili dinner. Trick-r-treating was next, followed by a scary movie, "What lies beneath". Summer collected about 4 lbs of candy and Paige has dibs on most of it.
Pheasant Hunt 2008
We had another sucessful hunt. Taylor and I both limited out. We were hunting with Reed and his boys, and Reed's brother Brian and his boys. Taylor and I had to leave a little early, when we left Reed and Hayes each had 1, and betwwen Brian and his boys they had 2. Can't wait until our next hunting adventure. Taylor was a little bit hungry and tried to eat one before I could get it home to cook it.

Jeff and Taylor's Big Hunting Trip in Wyoming
We had a great time hunting in Wyoming. We arrived Thursday afternoon and left Sunday morning. We saw all kinds of deer, elk, turkeys and of course antelope. Taylor and I worked hard to get these two and we enjoyed every minute of it. Can't wait until we do something like this again!!!! We stayed at the Buffalo Wy. KOA in our trailer. What a fun little western town. Hunters everywhere! Every day we would see trucks with deer or elk racks. One of the motels in town had a pole set up for their quests to hang up the days catch. Everytime we drove by a new set of trophies would be hung up with the proud hunters busy working to get the animals ready to pack home. Saturday night we celebrated our success with a Bison ribeye steak dinner at the old Occidental Hotel circa 1880 and then a movie. The dinner was to die for, or maybe we were just hungry. Either way it was great!!

Jeff and Taylor will be leaving today on their big Antelope hunting trip to Wyoming today. The weather looks like it will be ok for them. Just a bit cold, but that's how Wyoming is this time of year. We will post pictures and/or video of the hunt when they return Sunday. GOOD LUCK
