New shutters for the bedroom!!!

Mom finally got her new bedroom shutters. It's so nice to be able to close the shutters and keep the hot sun out of the room. Now we need to do the bathroom and the rest of the house.

This was a fun match to go see. We surprised Taylor by showing up for this game just as the team came running on to the field. Taylor did not know we were coming. It was raining as the team came on to the field and we yelled "GO HANCEY". He did not look over but continued to run across the field to the bench. He said that he heard someone call his name but didn't know who would be cheering for him so he decided to look over. He thought is that my dad sitting there under the umbrella? Then he saw his mom waving and knew we were there. He ran over with a big grin on his face.

The game was played in the rain and it was freezing. It was quite a physical battle. We scored twice in the second half and they scored one just as time expired. We won 2-1.

After the game we took Taylor and his roommates to Applebees for dinner and had a great time talking with them.

All in all it was a great little trip!!!

Council bluffs and Kansas City

We just got back from our trip to see Taylor play two games. The first was in Council Bluffs against cross state rivels Iowa Western. This is one of the biggest games each season for the team. We won the first match earlier this season at home and now it was Western's chance to play us on thier home feild. Needless to say we did not play well and lost 3-1. It was a hard loss for the team and it carried over to Kansas City where they gave up a 2-1 lead to lose 3-2. Not the best for the soccer team but we really enjoyed seeing Taylor again. I wish we could go to every game. It is so much fun watching him play!! I have a few photos that I can post later this week if I can get to it.
